It took Alex Megos a little over three hours to do all four routes of the Men’s PROject Competition. What more can we say? In ‘superior style‘, as 8a reports, Alex sent all four routes in just five attempts! Other results from Day One: in Men Kilian Fischhuber is second, and in Women Caroline Ciavaldini ranks first (two routes completed after two attempts) followed by Nina Caprez. See all results of Day One here and don’t forget to catch the Festival’s live streaming of events (program here).
Way to go Alex! Can’t wait to see what you do next…

October 7th: 2nd North Face Kalymnos Climbing Festival kicks off this Thursday
After a few days of unseasonably arctic winds (by Greek standards anyway), Kalymnos is now back to its usual October self: brilliant blue skies, loads of climbers, busy crags (or not so busy if you choose right) and a nice lively vibe. Later this week the 2nd North Face climbing festival also kicks off. As October has always been the busiest month on Kalymnos, a larger audience is certain, not to mention much better climbing conditions. The festival base camp will be at Elena Village Hotel again; registration form, program and lineup can be found on TNF’s festival page. There will also be live streaming this year. And don’t forget to check out the Adventure Center’s events in the next couple of days, which include a Q&A with the phenomenal Alex Megos on Tuesday evening.

Hi Dave, I hope you have a good time, as usual in magic – Kaly!
See you next time! (next spring?)!
Just found out we came 12th! (Although I’m now known as Rave Musgrove apparently?)
Quite pleased
Thanks for that Admin?.
No Aris, We left yesterday. It was good to meet you though and I will certainly be back.
Well done to you both, Dave and Gil! And good suggestion about the veterans category.
The only results we’ve seen so far are on TNF’s Kalymnos homepage, here:
http://www.thenorthfacejournal.com/category/kalymnos/
If you click on each of the events you can scroll down the results.
Aris asks, Are you still in Kalymnos?
Its nice to read about the superstars and well done to Alex. However will a full list of results for the open Marathons be published? As possibly the oldest two competitors Gil Peel and I would like to see just how low down the list we came! It was disappointing there was no veterans category. I’m sure many more would have entered if there had been. Despite that the event was great fun and we did more routes in those two days than we often do in week.
