Hi Jim,
There are three restaurants and one pastry shop that we know of in Elies: 1. ‘Marinos’ on the right-hand side just before the roundabout, as you drive from Masouri towards Pothia. It’s a family-style restaurant, open year-round, and mostly Greeks eat there. It’s pretty good. I’m not sure what time they stay open until in the evenings, though. 2. ‘To Vlachiko’ right across the street from ‘Marinos’. The sign with the name, I believe, is only in Greek. It’s a new restaurant with a very large terrace, which specializes in roast meat. We’ve eaten there only once, but it was good and the service very friendly. 3. A cafe-restaurant with outdoor seating just opposite the roundabout. I don’t know the name, as we’ve never eaten there, but it’s open all year-round and seems to be popular with younger locals. There’s a sign for ‘Kraft’ beer there as well. I hope this helps! Katie
P.S. Some restaurants also stay open in Linaria and Kantouni, if you don’t want to end up in Masouri yet again.
