Styx – info on routes No Exit and Metro?

    Dear Fellow Climbers!

    I am looking for some information about routes No Exit and Metro. According to the guidebook these routes have respectively 45m and 47m but there is no infomation whether an 80m rope is enough. I suppose it is since these routes are in the cave and the guidebook indicates that the neighbouring route Olivenbaum Ext (50m) can be climbed as a single pitch we an 80m rope. But just wanna make sure.

    Anyone could comment on that? Is it worth going there? I guess these routes might be amazing, 45 m of 6a+ in the cave and huge overhang!

    Hi!

    I have done those routes. A 50m rope is needed for them. Olivenbaum is less than 40m, so, of course you can lower easily!

    We did both routes a few days ago with a 40m rope with no problem if you belay at the start of the routes.

    Hi Simo, usually you can lower with an 80m rope from No Exit and Metro, with the full stretch of the rope. But 80m ropes are not all the same, sometimes even the length is different from company to company, or ropes have different stretch, so we decide to don’t say “80m rope is Ok”. Make always a knot at the free end of the rope and lower down with care.

    I mean’t 80m rope in my previous post. Not 40m. Sorry
