Hi Everyone
Finally I got some time to share this method I’ve been using for the entire Winter and Peak season when flights were super expensive €400 plus.
the trick is to flight from your European origin to Bodrum (with or without stop over in Istambul) the cheaper airline is Pegasus and as an example this trip cost around £80/€90 to €200/£180 return depending on the month (from London in my case).
Easy way:
0- check if you need a visa for Turkey.. if you need one is like 25 USD or less
1- use Google flights or Skyscanner to get the flights.. usually you can combine them with short time like 2 hours or less between them.
2- Once you get your flights sorted you need to get the Shuttle bus that takes you from the Airport to Bodrum which is 15 TL (Turkish Lira) around €4
there is a designated place for this just outside the terminal and as you can imagine is not that clear where (taxy drivers don’t want this)
3- Once you get to Bodrum you can chose plenty of accommodation.. I went to Eskici Hostel paying around 35 TL the night but depends on the month or season also because is walking distance from the Ferry port.
4- Ferries depart from Bodrum Cruise port and you can get the tickets there or buy them online here…

KOS to Kalymnos (you can buy this one in KOS not Bodrum)

5- Once you get your logistics done you can get to Kalymnos in less than 3 days and get to know a bit of Turkey for a fraction of the cost.
I also want to everyone to know that Masouri is a Ghost town from the 10/11 to 20/3 but obviously this can change if a lot of climbers like us start coming during this period. Elies is open all year round.
I personally being climbing in winter and you can climb on the sun with a T shirt from midday… the temperature doesn’t drop less than 8 C and the friction is superb.
Hope this guide is useful for someone
