    New mini sector called Hercules. High on the ridge above Palionissos. The obvious orange wall below the ridge, clearly visible while lying on the beach at Palionissos. .

    Access from the road end – plod directly (and slowly) up the hill – 40 mins.

    Or access is possible from Prophetis Andreas, by following the path to scramble up and over the ridge, along here a little, (cairns) then dropping down to the crag carefully as the cairns take you to the top of the crag – follow the gully down and round to the crag base +30 mins.

    Cerberus 7b+***

    Hydra 6c+****

    Chiron 6a+** to first anchor. 6b+ to Hydra chain. 7c+ direct finish.

    Pholus 8a (?) Unclimbed.

    Orthrus 7b**

    Pholus 1st ascent 30/10/21

    Probably 7c+ max, maybe even hard 7c?? Has a shared lower off but could do a dedicated chain. On the ‘to do’ list.

    Chiron direct finish still needs a 1st ascent if anyone is interested in venturing up there.

    Access from the Pali road end advisable.

    Hey!

    In september we tried to find it after a morning climb at Prophet andreas. We followed the instructions, but found only two distant cairns. It semmes to bee rather far down the summit ridge, we did not see the crag, the cainrs and finnally we walked back to the top and down to the col ( one descent move of 2b). I think we should have gone before to Palionisos to see where the crag is…

    The approach from the top of PA needs many cairns for climbers chosing to move at midday as we wanted to do. We should have done it if we had found the crag.

    Ok. The cairns must have been knocked down. It needs to be paint marked. We shall do this as soon as we can. Thanks for trying.

    Perhaps hunters? When we went there, there was one in the slopes of this area.

    Possibly yes, Ive seen them around there a lot.
