Boat from Leros to Kalymnos Oct 1???? Please Help

Hello,

I am thinking of flying to Leros instead of Kos on Oct 1. We would arrive at 0735. Is there a ferry or boat to Mirties from Leros daily? Can one be booked ahead of time?

Hello,

there is 3 of options I know of:

– At 21:25 Nissos Kalymnos (the large old ferry) goes from the port of Lakki on Mondays. http://www.anekalymnou.gr/images/dromologia/2018/nkalymnos_01-06-2018-31-10-2018.pdf

– According to the present timetable Anna Express goes from Leros (I think its Agia Marina Port) at 08:05. But they will have a new schedule in a couple of days.

– Dodecanese seaways goes at 14:30, I THINK also from Agia Marina.

Keep in mind that the Leros airport is quite distant from everything else on the island, so option #2 might be a little tight timingwise…

I forgot: From my experience there is no need of prebooking tickets for any of these ferries. Go go to the right port in time, walk up to the ticket box and buy your ticket. Thats it…

PS: I am a little surprised to learn that Leros has usefull airplane connections to the rest of the world. Though, you can fly to Kalymnos from there ( http://www.skyexpress.gr/en-us/home.aspx ) if you are willing to invest about 50€…
