Driving in Kalymnos

Hello all-

My wife and I are visiting this coming April – We are PSYCHED!!

Being completely new to the area I have some basic questions:

1. I have heard multiple stories regarding what you need in order to drive on the island. This site and some others mention that you only need your driver’s license. Recently I heard I might need an ‘International Driving Card’…..? Can anyone give me an idea if one of these is correct?

I’ll likely think of other questions down the road. I appreciate any information.

Great hire company that I use on the island is Suzuki Rentals http://www.kipreosrentals.gr excellent rates and you are met off the ferry in Pothia.

All you need is your driving licence, nothing else.
