Leaving Kalymnos on Novemeber 7th

Someone brought it to my attention that the main ferries will stop running shortly before I had originally planned to leave Kaylmnos. My flight back to Canada is from Athens on the 7th of November. I was hoping someone might be able to fill me in and provide some suggestions as to how I can get back to Athens a few days before my flight. If there are still some ferries running, should I be reserving a spot now? or is this something I don’t need to worry about? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me!

Hi there,

The ferries from Kalymos to Athens don’t stop running at all – they continue year-round. The problem is that timetables are only issued a few weeks ahead of time, so the November ferry schedule isn’t issued yet (hence you can’t reserve your ticket in advance). Ferries run three times a week. Since you’re planning to return to Athens a few days before your flight, you should be OK.
