New Routes on Gerakios

There are about 20 new routes on Sector Gerakios. The ones on the right are very good and up to 33m long – anyone know of a topo/grades,

Hi Chris, sorry we miss you this time, we left Kalymnos the first days of November.

Right of Gerakios is the new Sub-Sector “3 îlots”. Bolting (and cleaning of loose blocs) is still in progress there. The equipper asked us not to publish it until it is complete. Besides single pitches, there will be some nice multi-pitch routes up to 6 pitches long.

Cheers for that, I had a word with Claude and made small topo. I will go up again this week and do a few more. Should become a popular area, especially the multipitch.

Is it possible to climb at the new sector in May? What are the difficulities? Are topos available? We really appreciate all the work you do for the climbers in Kalymnos and we look forward.

Hi Maria,

Unfortunately this sector is not ready to be climbed yet. There are still routes being equipped and so there is no topo. When the routes are bolted, cleaned etc. then they will be published.

we have repeat the multi-pitch route (7pitches ) on 04.20.15. nice bolting different climbing styles not to hard. all in all a nice route ! thanks for bolting !! Caro& Steffi
