Hi!
All three sectors are recent additions to Kalymnos, hence they didn’t make it into the latest guidebook:
Hotel California is a gray slab between Skalia & Ghost Kitchen. Approach : same as for Skalia Pillar (07, p.76), but after a small gully don’t go upwards, instead follow the cairns to traverse the hill. Past Skalia Pillar and another small gully the cairns lead up to the crag. Sun: same as for Skalia Pillar.
Saint George: we did a recent post here (http://climbkalymnos.com/?p=4997) and visited it last month. Sun: until 15:00. Conditions : Very warm area, not recommended for summer. We visited this sector recently — there was still plenty of loose rock and quite a few thorny bushes at the base of the routes.
Big Shadow: again, a recent post here (http://climbkalymnos.com/?p=5567). Sun: only early in the morning, as the sector faces north. Conditions : some reports for dangerous wasps during the summer!
If you decide to visit, please be extra careful as these are new sectors and there may be loose rock / more cleaning required. Helmets are a must!! We’d strongly suggest that inexperienced climbers try some of the popular sectors first and wait until these sectors are climbed / cleaned.
