Sky Express luggage allowance

Sky Express seems to have fairly small luggage allowance (Your fare includes 1 checked in bag up to 15 kilos and one handbag up to 6 kilos) on their PLUS fares from Kalymnos to Athens. For climbers with ropes and gear, it seems easy to exceed this amount. We will also be in EU for some time and have some extra gear with us.

How does this work in practice? Do I really need to call in advance of making a reservation? Or can I pay at the check-in counter? You can purchase additional for 3€/kg, but they have a note on their site that says:

“When traveling with more weight, larger baggage or more than one piece, that is included in your baggage allowance, you should inform your agent or our reservations department, before making your reservation.

Attention: Maximum baggage weight should not be over 28kg”

Hi there ysammy,

You can just pay at the check-in counter, and there is no need to call in advance. I just confirmed this with Sky Express.

If you have one piece of luggage which exceeds the 15kg weight allowance, you will be charged 3€/kg, as you correctly state above.

If you bring an additional piece of luggage, you will be charged a flat fee of €10 (if it weighs up to 15kg) plus €3 per additional kg if it weighs more.
