The price you pay on ferry boat to bring van from athnens is as much as renting and appartment for nearly 15 days!!

Also they help greek economy by giving money to the ferry company (probably not greek though…

And note that outside the high class (sic) masouri area, i suspect there are places where locals would be happy even if a van is there and campers simply buy stuff from bakeries and mini markets. Unfortunatelly, the attitude in masouri often diverges from the advertised “very friendly locals” in the guidebook. But that’s another topic…
