SKALIA CAVE

The new (hard) TNF crag is situated between sectors Skalia Balcony and Ghost Kitchen.

Approach:

Park at the level of the colorful house 50m after the parking area of Ghost Kitchen.

Walk directly up for 50m on the concrete road of the house, turn left and then right after the fence. The steep uphill path is going up between the two old olive trees following the cairns. Time: 20 min

Alternatively; from the left side of sector Ghost Kitchen, traverse left. Time: 10 min.

Any idea what time it goes into the sun?

Right side it is in the shade in the morning (until 13.00 in summer) and left side in the shade in the afternoon.

The Alchemist has a REALLY hard move on it (and already there is a lower-off maillon at that point!). This move is very bouldery and powerful and overhanging. The rest of the route is a quite pumpy 7a+, maybe 7b, even without that move. So I really don’t know what grade to give this route!

just a quick update with the right grades (according to the bolting team and the athletes) of the sector. I’ll send you the topo asap. All the routes have been climbed.
