Transport at Easter

Hello,

We’re hoping to climb in Kalymnos this Easter – arriving on Kos either Easter Sunday (24 March) or the day before or after. We’ve read it’s sometimes difficult to get ferries and other transport over the Easter weekend – does anyone know if it is possible to get the ferry to Kalymnos on Easter Sunday / Monday? Or too busy? / not running?

Hi Rosie and Happy New Year! Apologies for my late reply.

31st March is just a regular Sunday here in Greece, therefore all ferries should be operating as per normal. (Greek Orthodox Easter this year is on 5th May.) That said, just so you know, even on our national holidays the ferries continue to run, usually with reduced frequency.
