unknown or New route at Snowwhite?

Today we climbed at Snowwhite. We climbed a route that is not in the topo nor the update. Unfortunately there are no names underground the New routes.

The route I mean is between nr 12 Sneezy and 12.1 He Kleines. So you could call it nr 12.0. I think It’s about 26 meters and has glued in bolts and 1 Petzl bolt.

Aris, do you know this route? In my opinion the grade is 6b+ (maybe more?).

Hi Aris, How come the sector Snow White isn’t in the new guidebook? Is it still open?

Also, there is a slight mistake on pages 92/93 at Ghost Kitchen. On the topo the numbers for routes 2 and 3 have been reversed.

I really miss the sector index that has always appeared on the front cover flap in your past guide books.

You were so right in this new guide in saying that November may be the best month to visit Kalymnos. We were there for the entire month of November and the weather could not have been better right up until the final weekend of the month. Unfortunately by then all the markets and restaurants were shut down and the streets were like a ghost town which was just fine because we had our pick of routes at the crags.

We have tickets for Athens in April and reservations for the city as well as Nafplio. We hope to use the KTEL buses to get to Nafplio and from there to Leonidio. Is there a regular bus from Nafplio to Leonidio? Your guide to Greece has been absolutely priceless for planning this trip.

I hope to meet you some day and thank you in person for all you have done for climbing and for Greece.

Thank you very much for being so kind!

Sector Snow White it is still open but it did not make it to the guidebook, as sectors Milianos, St George and Sea Museum (Vlichadia) as we think they are poor for the Kalymnos quality standards. We will publish all them in the near future at the App which is free together with the guidebook.

There is not a regular bus from Nafplio to Leonidio but I think you can get the bus to Leonidio from Argos (10 KM from Nafplio). Just ask at the Nafplio KTEL buses office for all the details.
