Crag: Olympic Wall
GOLDEN EAGLE
Rating: 3★
Grade: 7c+
Length: 156m
Description: Multi-pitch (P1 6a 35m, P2 7a+ 30m, P3 7c+ 26m, P4 7c+ 25m, P5 6c+ 15m, P6 7b+ 25m). The hard multi-pitch to do on Kalymnos. Rock is colorful and quite good, bolting is friendly, all cruxes can be aided with a short panic stick, and the exposure/position are second to none. P1: straight up the left of the little cave. P2: a hard delicate start, then easier. P3: A balancy traverse, steep tufa action, and blind boulder crux to gain the big but narrow ledge. P4: intense from start to end; overhanging, tufas, wall, underclings, pockets, spicy traverse. P5: traverse with good holds. P6: good wall climbing, hidden holds/sidepulls, eases off halfway up. Gear: 80m rope; some long slings; long draws; helmet; locking carabiners; 20 QDs. Return: After you top out, 2 min walk to the summit (best views!) then walk down.
